Privacy Policy

This policy covers the Android app SnackMagnet, listed on Google Play as
Snack Video Downloader
(snack.video.downloader.snacksaver). The app is free and may be supported by advertising.
It is an independent app and is not affiliated with Snack Video or Kuaishou.
We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number or location, and there is no account to create. The videos you save stay on your device and are never uploaded.
How saving works
You give the app the link of a video: by sharing it to the app, pasting it, or copying it. The app then contacts the website the link points to directly from your phone and saves the video on your device. The videos you save are never uploaded. The website receives the request as it would from any browser, and handles it under its own privacy policy.
Only download content you own or have permission to save.
Copied links
When you open the app, or tap its floating download button, the app looks at what you last copied. If it is a Snack Video link the app has not saved yet, it starts saving that video. Anything else you copied is ignored and stays on your phone: it is never stored, logged or sent anywhere. Text that Android marks as sensitive, such as a copied password, is never read. The app cannot see your clipboard while it is closed and its button is not tapped.
The floating download button
The button is off until you turn it on. While it is on, it is drawn over other apps and the app keeps a notification showing so Android does not close it. The button does not read or record what is on your screen; it only reacts when you tap it. Turn it off in the app, from its notification, or by dragging it onto the close mark.

We do not collect your name, email, phone number, precise location, contacts, passwords, the text you copy, the links of the videos you save, or the videos and photos on your device.
Country comes from your SIM card, your mobile network and the internet address your phone connects from. We work out the country from that address on arrival and do not store the address itself.
Permissions
- Display over other apps — only if you turn on the floating download button, so it can sit over Snack Video. You can turn it off in Android settings.
- Photos and videos — to show the videos you saved in the app's gallery. They are read on your device and never uploaded.
- Notifications — to show download progress, tell you when a video is saved, and keep the floating button on screen. You can turn this off in Android settings.
- Internet and network state — to download videos and know when you are offline.
Advertising
The app may show ads. Ads are supplied by advertising partners who may collect and use device information — including your advertising ID — to select, deliver and measure ads. They do not receive the pages you visit or the videos you save. Each partner has its own privacy policy:

Your choices
You can reset or delete your advertising ID at any time, which stops it being used to build a profile of your interests:
- Android — Settings → Google → Ads → Reset advertising ID or Delete advertising ID
Deleting it does not remove ads; it makes them less relevant.
Where the law requires your consent before personalised advertising, the app asks for it before any ad is requested, and you can change your choice later.
Analytics
Usage events are sent to servers we operate ourselves. They are tied to the App Set ID and Android ID described above, not to you personally.
Children
The app is not directed to children and is not intended for anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
How long we keep data
Saved videos stay on your device until you delete them. The app remembers only the last link it saved, so it does not save the same video twice. Analytics events are kept for as long as they help us improve the app, and deleted on request. Advertising partners keep data according to their own policies, linked above.
Deleting your data
Uninstalling the app removes its data from your device; the videos you saved stay in your gallery until you delete them. To have the usage events associated with your device deleted from our servers, email us at the address below and we will remove them.
Security
We use reasonable measures to protect the data we hold. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated policy.
