Privacy Policy
Last updated 1 October 2026
This policy covers the Android app Video Downloader
(video.downloader.allvideosaver). The app is free and may be supported by advertising.
We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number or location, and there is no account to create. The videos you save stay on your device and are never uploaded.
How downloading works
When you paste or share a link, or open a website in the app's browser, the app contacts that website directly from your phone and saves the video to your device's storage. The videos you save are never uploaded. The website receives the request as it would from any browser, and handles it under its own privacy policy.
To keep downloading working, the app tells us which websites you open in its browser and the address of the page each video was downloaded from, with tracking parameters removed. See What we collect below.
The in-app browser and your logins
You can sign in to websites such as Instagram or Facebook inside the app's browser, for example to download videos you can only see when signed in. Your sign-in happens directly with that website. We never see, receive or store your passwords. The website's own sign-in cookies are kept on your phone, the same way a browser keeps them, and are only ever sent back to that website. You can remove them at any time by clearing the app's data in Android settings.
Only download content you own or have permission to save.
What we collect
| Data | Why |
|---|---|
| Advertising ID (Google Advertising ID) |
So our advertising partners can show relevant ads, cap how often you see the same ad, and measure whether an ad worked. You can reset or delete it at any time — see below. |
| App Set ID | To count how many people use the app and recognise a returning device, without an account. It cannot be used to identify you across apps from other developers. |
| Android ID | To count each device once across our apps, and as a fallback when the App Set ID is unavailable. It is set by the device and changes if you reset the device. |
| Websites and video pages the names of websites you open in the app's browser, and the address of the page each video was downloaded from (tracking parameters removed) |
To find websites that stopped working and fix them, to add support for the websites people use, and to show which videos are popular. This is web browsing history inside the app. It is tied to the App Set ID and Android ID, never to your name. |
| Device and technical information device model, operating system, language, country, screen size, network type, battery level, app version |
To make the app work correctly on your device, to fix problems, and because our advertising partners need it to serve an ad. |
| Usage events app opened, screens viewed, videos found, downloads started, finished or failed (size, quality, length, time taken), videos played, ads offered and watched |
To understand how the app is used and make it better. These events never contain the videos themselves, your passwords or the content of the pages you visit. |
| Messages you send us feedback and feature requests, with your app version, Android version and device model, and a random ID the app creates |
To read and answer them. The random ID limits how many messages and votes one install can send, so the board can't be spammed. It is not linked to your name. |
We do not collect your name, email, phone number, precise location, contacts, passwords, the content of the pages you visit, or the videos and photos on your device.
Country comes from your SIM card, your mobile network and the internet address your phone connects from. We work out the country from that address on arrival and do not store the address itself.
Permissions
- Videos — to show and play the videos you saved with the app. They are read on your device and never uploaded.
- Notifications — to show download progress and tell you when a video is saved. You can turn this off in Android settings.
- Internet and network state — to download videos and to know when you are offline.
Advertising
The app may show ads. Ads are supplied by advertising partners who may collect and use device information — including your advertising ID — to select, deliver and measure ads. Each partner has its own privacy policy:
- Unity LevelPlay and Unity Ads — unity.com/legal/game-player-and-app-user-privacy-policy
- Google (AdMob) — policies.google.com/privacy
- Meta Audience Network — facebook.com/about/privacy
- Amazon Publisher Services — aps.amazon.com/aps/privacy-policy
- BidMachine — bidmachine.io/privacy-policy
- Verve — verve.com/privacy-policy
- Yandex — yandex.com/legal/confidential
Your choices
You can reset or delete your advertising ID at any time, which stops it being used to build a profile of your interests:
- Android — Settings → Google → Ads → Reset advertising ID or Delete advertising ID
Deleting it does not remove ads; it makes them less relevant.
Where the law requires your consent before personalised advertising, the app asks for it before any ad is requested, and you can change your choice later.
Analytics
Usage events are sent to servers we operate ourselves. They are tied to the App Set ID described and Android ID above, not to you personally.
Children
The app is not directed to children and is not intended for anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
How long we keep data
Saved videos stay on your device until you delete them. Analytics events, including website and page addresses, are kept for as long as they help us improve the app, and deleted on request. Advertising partners keep data according to their own policies, linked above.
Deleting your data
Uninstalling the app removes its data from your device; videos you saved stay in your device's storage until you delete them. To have the usage events associated with your device deleted from our servers, email us at the address below and we will remove them.
Security
We use reasonable measures to protect the data we hold. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated policy.
